Youth Be Known, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to empowering families fostering and adopting children from the public foster care system. At Youth Be Known, we work tirelessly to improve the lives of our most vulnerable children, those in foster care or at risk of entering the system through no fault of their own. Through our initiatives, advocacy, and events, we are working to change the public narrative about our nation’s foster care system, shining a light on the stories, struggles, and resilience of these children. By connecting communities, churches, and volunteers to children in need, we strive to make sure every child knows they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. Our mission is guided by faith, compassion, and the unshakeable belief that every child deserves a safe and nurturing home to grow and thrive.
Youth Be Known LLC is the professional side of our mission. Through our initiatives, advocacy, and events, we provide carefully crafted, detailed, and timely home study services for foster and adoptive families and the agencies that support them. Our goal is to make the foster and adoption process as smooth and stress free as possible so families can focus on what truly matters, loving and caring for children with open hearts.
While Youth Be Known works to raise awareness, advocate, and build community support around foster care, Youth Be Known LLC ensures that families are prepared, supported, and guided through every step of the official process with professionalism and care.
Together, Youth Be Known and Youth Be Known LLC share one purpose, to uplift, protect, and champion the lives of children in foster care while equipping families to provide homes filled with love, hope, and belonging. Because every child deserves to know that they matter and that they are never alone.

About the Founder
Due to my mother’s addictions, my siblings and I were removed by Child Protective Services. My grandparents stepped up and made the ultimate sacrifice to raise 8 more children after raising 10 of their own. Due to unfortunate circumstances, my younger siblings were placed into foster care. They were eventually adopted by unrelated families which resulted in non-sibling relationships. I’m grateful for the upbringing my grandparents provided, yet it didn’t shield me from the reality of my truth.

Want to Help?
Each year, hundreds of children and teens are removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. We manage foster care and related services for these youth.
